Dorset Opera Festival – Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully.

Ticket Bookings

  • Please check carefully that your tickets and any hospitality confirmations are for the correct performance, as mistakes cannot always be rectified later.

Returns, Exchanges and Refunds

  • If you are unable to attend, we recommend first offering your tickets to friends or family.
  • Dorset Opera Festival is unable to operate a general refund scheme for tickets that are no longer required or cannot be used.
  • Returned tickets may be considered for resale only once the relevant performance is otherwise sold out. Previously unsold tickets will always take priority.
  • Requests regarding returned tickets must be made in writing (email is acceptable).
  • Reimbursement, where due, will be less a £4 administration fee per ticket.
  • Dorset Opera Festival may, in limited circumstances, consider requests outside these standard terms at its discretion.
  • Any reimbursement due will be processed as soon as reasonably practicable after the Festival.

Performance Changes

  • Dorset Opera Festival reserves the right to make alterations to advertised programmes, casting, schedules or other performance details without prior notice.
  • In the event of cancellation, ticket holders will be contacted regarding available options.

Admission and Latecomers

  • Management reserves the right to refuse admission where appropriate.
  • Latecomers, and those leaving the auditorium during a performance, may only be admitted or readmitted at a suitable break in the performance if one occurs. Re-entry cannot be guaranteed.

Hospitality Bookings

  • Hospitality bookings are confirmed by email.
  • Please retain your confirmation email and present when redeeming your booking.

Photography and Recording

  • Photography, audio recording and video recording during performances are strictly prohibited.

 

Content Advisory

  • Some performances may include effects such as strobe lighting, loud sound effects, explosions or gunfire.

Liability

  • Dorset Opera Festival is not liable for delays, cancellations, changes, or failure to supply goods or services where caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

 

Concession and Promotional Tickets

 £10 tickets for Ages 26 and Under (in Full-Time Education)

  • Twenty £10 tickets are available at each performance to those aged 26 or under in full-time education.
  • Proof of age or student status may be required.
  • These tickets will be held for collection at the box office before the performance and the young person must be present.

£40 tickets for Ages 40 and Under

  • £40 tickets are available for the Friday 24 July, 7.00pm performance of L’elisir d’amore only.
  • Available only to those aged 40 or under on the date of the performance.
  • Maximum of one £40 ticket per eligible person.
  • Proof of age may be required.
  • Subject to availability and limited to the first 100 tickets sold under this promotion.

All Promotions

  • Standard Dorset Opera Festival booking terms apply.
  • Promotional offers cannot be applied retrospectively to existing bookings.
  • Proof of age or student status may be requested when collecting tickets or on entry to the theatre. Acceptable identification may include passport, student ID card, driving licence or PASS card.
  • Management reserves the right to withdraw or amend any offer at any time.
